Control Arm bushings

I see you're going ape**** with the mods here.
Search is your friend, my thread should be a couple pages over.
I highly suggest you have someone else do it. Like many others have said, it's not hard whatsoever. It's just a real pain in the ***.
For anything else, I can answer any questions...
I would also like to mention that YOU CANNOT SEE THE lower control arm bushings with the design they came from the factory. There is no "support" as far as I know for the top and bottom. There is only a center piece made of what i'm guessing is prothane. So when you say they're "Shot" I DEFFINETELY know you're not talking about the horizontal bushings because there's no way in hell you can even see those, and the vertical ones weren't designed AFAIK to be seen.
Going with OEM replacements is pretty much settings yourself up for a big case of FAIL. Go with a prothane kit...and lube it up good.

no. actually i havnt done many mods for a good while. all my mods were done about 6months ago and i havnt been on herefor like 3 or 4 months.i figured going oem would just give a smoother ride since the prothanes are a harder matrerial. i know the prothane's are goo cuz i love my mm inserts, but i dont want my ride rougher than it is. well in my chiltons it points out directly where the bushings are from an underview, and even before my dad and a mechanic pointed them out. they looked completely shredded. so i guess ill just find out.
Like I said...I know for a fact that unless you removed the control arm, you wouldn't even see the horizontal bushing.
Prothanes make the ride feel really smooth...car takes bumps like there's pillows under the wheels.

ok sounds good. i just thought that with the material and how its pretty damn stong, that it might make it like when you hit a bump, you feel it horribly. well, ill just have to figure out whats up with whatever bushings are trashed. ill prob take it somewhere..but last i checked, the dealer wanted $800 at the least to do my control arm bushings...
lol dealers suck bro.... they realllly do.... try a reputable shop in your area....
i am considering buying the whole suspension bushing set soon and just having a mechanic i know around here to put everything in for me.... only problem is the down time.... i dont have another car to drive whil that one is in the shop so yea.........

the bushings in the lower control arm - there was a problem with them that created a TSB - the OE updated the bushing - I replaced mine with new lower control arms - arms inc the bushings and new ball joint
Getting them out is not a problem (control arms)
if you are doing just the bushings - you will need a press.
