I bought a new 04' dodge neon sxt, I got it with the "srt-4 package", this is supposed to be different from the sport's package. It is a little bit I suppose, it has dual catback exhaust, and ground effect's (sideskirt's, rear/front skirt). I was wondering, does this package have anything performance wise? I realize it's not turbo, or a 2.4L, and that it is a 2.0L 132hp engine. I'm not the smartest at car's but I do know a bit, just not much about my own car.. kinda sad. Anyway, I was wondering if anything from this package is beneficial to performance, as in does it have any kind of different suspension or header's/fuel injector's, or anything like that. And if the catback exhaust does anything but sound cool.



P.S. I went through some other post's about exhaust's on here, didn't help me much. If anyone want's to see a pic sometime I can get one up.

 

Nope, no performance upgrades its all visual. The dual catback might of given you 1-10 hp or so but I wouldn't count on it.

Yah question's are alway's good, and that doesn't offend me Lonasindi, I think they should have just made the "srt-4 package" the real sport's package, and dumped the current sport's package.

 

Just curious but could you post pictures of your car on here? Also, I was wondering how much did you end up paying for it with the "srt 4 package"? RSVP Thanks!

 

Well I don't have any pic's of MINE on my comp, but I can get a digital camera soon and post some, however I do have a picture of a car that looks nearly exactly like mine. I payed about 19k for it. The picture that I'm posting only show's the side and rear so I'll just describe the front. The front looks like your's does except it has a lip on the front that is about 3 - 4 inches in width. Kinda suck's that the front is just really a lip, but the side skirt's and the rear look's great. Also my rim's are just the regular 15" alloy's that you see on the new neon's. The spoiler is taller than the sport's spoiler also.

EDIT- p.s. The rear is different than the rear on my car, mine look's quite a bit diff front the one in the picture.

 

no offense or anything but why didn't u just dish out a lil bit more and get the srt-4 not just the package??
