Well I figured how to fix the plug issue.. I just had to de-pin it , drill the hole and seal it.

edit again..

I finished up the halo grommets and now I just need to power them up and make sure they aim correctly before I seal them up.

Well Matt and I were able to seal up the vac and boost lines to give it a test drive down the road..

The Mopar battery is dead... so I'll have to get another battery this week. I still need to pick a couple of small things to finalize the build until it arrives back at my house to finish up the headlights, and mount the bumpers etc....

We weren't getting any boost, due to my mistake on not clipping the wastegate to the manifold..

We also looked at modifying the Short ram intake to fir better..

Size: 121.2 KB

A close fit, but much better...

Name: IMG_0123.jpg

Farther pic away, and this is what we cut off to make it fit.

Well Matt and I got a little bit done on the car last night. I found the damn cotter pine for the wastegate so I'm not free spinning the turbo.... We took it for a test drive and was able to get 3 psi... We didn't want to push it completly last night. I need to make a couple of adjustments to the ride height before I damage my fenders or tires. So I have to raise the passenger side up a .5 in ( est) get bolts for the top motor mount, a couple more grommets for the vac lines can be ran properly. and then buy a new battery... I think I"m just going to go with a stock one this year. Might look into a Braille battery next year.

Texas Showdown is comming up in June, so I'm going to try to get to that one, (since its 10 mins from my house). I'm going to see me Mack Daddy Dan is going to be there with if blue beauty. Maybe I can be worthy enough to park near him...

I forgot my camera last night like a jack ***, so I might head out there tonight if I can or on saturday for a bit to get the engine finished.

I"m going to start looking for adjustable wastegate i think... or a manual boost controller for hte time being. I will have pics later on this week.

Here is a little update on the car.

I had a pretty busy weekend.. Had a huge party at the house Friday night and stayed up until 5am. Took a nap until 9am and then got ready to head up and work on my car a bit. Thanks to Matt and Isakee on Thursday they were able to mount the BEGI in the cowl so it won't bounce around. ( no pics sorry) Saturday I brought the new battery, cables, and line to get the car started on it own with out a jump

We put the cowl back on to cover the BEGI and then remounted the hood. i lost a couple of bolts... so the car isn't driveable yet... Matt and I mouned the HID kits for my Retors and aimed them. Then sure do look nice, I didn't take any pics since I want to tighten them up and seal them this week.

We took it for another drive and I"m going to have to keep the car at 3PSI for a bit, goingn to look for an adjustiable Wastegate and then look into a MBC.

Still have a little list of things that need to be done, but all in good time. Still need to get it inspected so its legal on the road and a couple of things that need to Powdercoating. It was a good weekend though.

I have my first Ice Hockey game tonight, so no work on the car today..

I did do a little today... I went ahead and cleaned up the headlights today mocked up the fitment...

Worked with a heat gun to re-form the plastic housings for the sealer..

Mocked up and looking good...

I then went ahead and used the window sealer ( windshield sealer from 3M) and heated up the edges to close up the pastic a bit more.

Finished the other side and taped up for the night. THen I will try to see what it looks like tomorrow after work.. Hopefully they seal right.
