Ontario canada here.. had a minor accedent in my buddies driveway sliding under his surburban.. on the roads i just always test my brakes well in advance and see what my stopping distance is.. normally horrible with winters on the front and all seasons on the rear.. havent got stuck yet.. have drifted unwillingly a few times but nothing that i couldn't control (Thank god for me driving like an idiot in the summers and getting use to sliding and controling)..
Hey, another Michigander here. I got winter tires so my baby handles really well in the snow and slush. Get winter tires and you won't regret it! Unless ur like me and plan on wasting lots of cash on new summer tires and rims. Then maybe you'll regret it later [:-]

I've yet to get any real snow here in Ohio. What little we did have, the Neon handled fine through. Just kinda had to mess with the clutch to get better traction and avoid spinning my tires.

Been in a few good storms so far this year, the car isn't to bad in the bad stuff... Just gotta drive smart.
