When we were heading south, I think I was running an average of 75 mph with an auto tranny on the Interstate.

mine's an auto..but yea, i've never gotten over 25 and i've had it since 7500 miles and now it has 13500 on it.. so i dont know.. i wouldnt think it would need a tune up.. but ya never know.. and i wish i could have the problem of trailing off in the low 30's.. lol

 

An auto in mixed or city driving 25 is probably average. Shoulda got a stick!

 

but see.. when drive to college and back home i fill up and then drive for 2 or 2 1/2 hours.. little or no city driving between fill ups.. so like 2 hours on a tank and it takes me down to half a tank.. its like 120 miles. i'm pretty sure i'm suppose to get better than that. but hell if i know..lol

 

I get 28-32 depending on my driving.

 

Tune ups seems to give a "Short lived" MPG boost for neons...the MPG will eventually go back

 

no thats just for your neon.... its the vtec that kills your gas milage

Yeah I get 30 in the city and 35 highway and mines an auto with 108,000 miles on her . I add high mileage stuff to the gas every so often to help her out a bit . Neons are awesome for gasmileage .

 

I know. That damn Vtec.

Tune ups can cost as cheap as you make them. Cheap spark plugs with fram air filter...probably do a $25 airfilter.

I personally have a K&N Filter, cheapy spark plugs and new pcv valve
