read the manual and buy urself a haynes repair book and read how-to drain and fill the trans.... if you do it urself it should cost u like $50-$60... and as for your third gear problem... u have to have the clutch engaged to put the car into ANY GEAR and if u let off before its in gear you will grind the gears its as simple as that so unless ur racing (on a track hopfully) take your sweet @$$ time and shift right.... no need to destroy your trans......

and yes the manual tranny uses ATF+4

 

I was backing out yesterday and I accidentally put it in Park. The tranny made a grinding noise and I proceeded to punch myself in the face.

thats just the park detent pin.... not really a big deal.

 

Well the tranny feels a little ugly when it shifts....is that psychological or could I have seriously messed it up for good?
