Default Trunk lid

I looked closer at my trunk lid today and noticed its basically rotting from the inside out and I guess thats where my leak is coming from. Question is I found this lid on ebay and that doesn't look like any stock mounting holes I've seen, plus the v8 badge kind of confuses me too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...em330207543651

the mounting holes were for an aftermarket wing/spoiler and the v8 badge was added. I would not buy this ine b/c you would have to cover up the holes i would wait to find anouther one, but if you need it imediatly its nothing a little bondo and primer can't fix if you dont mind having a patch of a different color on your truck lid.

The guy I was getting the one with the wing/lid from never got back to me. Im hitting the junkyard tomorrow, I don't even think bondo and primer could fix it.

you should buy that ebay one and just fill the holes with antenna's so that you will look like a wannabe cop.

I picked up a lid for $50 today, guy delivered it today and its dynomated. Im going to try and put the carpet over it, rather then scrape it off. How hard is it to swap a lid, is there any lining up, or should the holes match up.
