dealership extended warranty
ive heard quite a few people (not on here), that say the extended warranty the dealers sell is a ripoff. i have the partners warrany and yesterday i had to use it. cylinder head was making a tapping sound that alot of the 2nd gen neon owners say is normal. well, dealer troubleshot, and replaced all intake/exhaust rocker arms, both rocker shafts, and all intake/exhaust lifters. flashed the pcm and Bam, no more noise. the whole thing costed just a 100 dollar deductable. so i say to you, is it worth it?? i think so and will definately get another extended warranty on my next car purchase.
yeah i would always buy extended warranties. Couldn't on my neon since i got it used, but hopefully i can get my charger r/t next year with the extended warrtany, other than the lifetime powertrain
It is an insurance policy that may be worth it to some and not to others, depends on a lot. If you are one who gets a different car every few years, probably not worth it. If you drive em til they die, then probably worth it. If you tend to fix things yourself, then probably not worth it. I just bought my first one for my Aspen, which has the lifetime powertrain warranty. Why was this my first? Because for $1600 I got the lifetime max care. $1600 was acceptable to me. For my 2000 Durango, at the time it was somewhere around $3-4000. Alot could go wrong that I couldfix for that amount of money. That was not worth it to me. Lucky for me at 111,000 the only thing I have had to do was the heater core.

1600 is great for a lifetime powertrain IMO.
For me and how much I drive I don't think i would need it. Plus I would probably do it myself or already have it replaced with something that would void the warrenty lol.
^^ agreed, then thing with the warentees is u can not go crazy to keep the warenty valid, if i had a lifetime warenty and wanted to turbo my car, that 1500 dollars or whatever u spend on it is out the window, me personaly i would not get one, just because i do not keep my cars stock for very long.............

then that is perfect for u, i just like to mod cars so me personaly i would not do it.... but depending on price of the warenty u can fix alot for the cost of it... ya know????? that is all i was sayin........
yeah. granted the 2 grand i paid for my warranty could go a long way in home repairs, my mechanical inclinations only go a little past the basics. suspension, bolt ons, and tune up work. thats about it
