Getting back to the post subject. You can drop the overall ratio about 20% by going with a set of 1.22:1 transfer gears. That's equal to adding about 35 HP at the crank. The gear cover is behind the driver side front wheel. It looks like a cover for a couple of 3" diameter gears, with about 10 bolts around it. You will need a gear puller to get them off, but it only takes about an hour to do. Keep in mind, your top speed and fuel economy will diminish. Check with a local tranny shop for the gears, Chrysler made thousands of 3 speed ATX's for other vehicles and a wide range of ratios are available for cheap.
