Ok, I'm thinking about getting this VIS carbon fiber hood. It has a great price but only because it has a tiny crack on the top and some slight damage on the underside of the scoop. It is an SRT-4 style hood (which I'm sure will leave a small gap from my bumper). I've offered $125offered tomeet him about 3hrs away. Should Iget it or no?

Unless your painting it. I think your car would look better with it in red and not a cf. Your body kit is painted too right?
Edit: I looked at your album and I dunno maybe it would look good in cf, with those halos.

I'm not sure if I'd want to paint it or not. There's no other way to deal with the crack tho is there? It's barely noticable....
The car is getting a fresh coat of paint anyways, the previous owner slapped on a cheap paint job and its startin to show [:'(]

Hmm I dunno about getting that crack out. Its probly only in the gelcoat or w/e it is on them. So I dunno maybe it can be buffed n recoated. It looks small probly hard to notice.

well, i have delt with alot of carbon fiber... and NON of it is perfect... just because the process of making a hood..... but for 125 plus gas... i would buy it, may not be perfect but i would deal with it for that much

No deal... I have a VIS CF hood and I have already had to re-clear it due to it fading in the sunlight... I would save up and get a Sibon hood, better quality and style... Just my .02 cents though Star.....
