Sup Mike!!! Didn't know you were on DF tooo...

Anyways, Izero he means if you send in a manifold or head to use. A core is simply the base part they will alter. If you don't supply one, they have to go and buy one (thusly why it is more expensive without a core).

whats up freerider. yeah i stumbled acrossthis placelast night so i thought i would sign up. as for why its so expensive............ well 350.00 isnt really expensive when it comes to a custom built manifold.......... and in this business time is money sir. it takes me right in the area of 10 hours to build a basic manifold that can give u anywhere from well about 7-8 whp on a stock engine with some bolts to upwards of 70 whp on high hp boosted applications.

you my friend will need to get the mattdog adaptor plate to make it bolt right up.... he is on another forum, i dont remember which one but if you do a search on this one i think 03neonrt has posted a link somewhere to the forum, you just PM mattdog and ask him for an adaptor plate and i think he charges something like $260 or so shipped to your door.... if you are skilled with CAD or some other milling program you could probably make your own adaptor plate..... well good luck with that!

Mattdog sells an adaptor plate for the turbo manifold for $200 shipped IIRC over on NEONS . ORG. As for the intake side of your engine, you really dont need to mess with the intake manifold, throttle body, intake, etc...on your basic turbo build. If you havent already, check out the updated parts list on the first page of the turbo thread stickied at the top of the page.

Just to throw my 2 cents in. I know of a minivan that cracked their plastic intake...completely stock ford windstar haha. I have heard that neons with turbos can hold 10psi with the stock plastic intake manifolds but after I was driving the van and it stalled from teh dumb intake....idk.
