Default Weekend work! (pics)

I decided to work on my scraped up Xenon bumper this weekend. It was nice out (not warm enough to paint but I did it anyway). So far, so good I still need to put a few more layers of clear coat on it.
First, I had to remove the mesh for repairs. They were all bent up and rusty lookin so I hammered them out, sanded them down and cleaned them, then painted them.

Then I put putty on the bumper and sanded it down.

Next I primed and sanded it some more.

I'm still not done tho [&o] I need to put another layer of clear coat on it, at the moment it doesn't look glossy enough. I have to wait until Saturday for the paint to cure before I can do that. Hopefully it will be done by next week so I can put it on along with the new wheels [sm=bounceybounce.gif]

-Using a Weider Crossbow X2000 for a work bench, eh? I use mine for it's intended purpose even though it doesn't really show. But nice looking work. It's good to seegals who aren't afraid to get a little dirt under their nails. Just don't leave it there!

What kinda paint did you use? Im picking up new bumpers this spring/summer and my buddy at a paint shop will do em good for $200 (for both) but if i could save $100 or something i would do it myself!!

Let me know!

I used Duplicolor automotive paint. Spray paint basically. I bought 3 cans for $15 (primer, color, clear coat) so you will need more to cover both bumpers.
