You don't have to change the crankshaft positioning sensor...

the p 1684 is the oil sending unit has a short and may be need to be replaced

neon riders, itsa battery thing, mine stopped popping up like one week ago, no work done to it at all

I replaced the cam shaft sensor about 2 weeks ago and the engine lighthas not come on since.I have also had no problems with the car sputtering (so far). The P1684 code has not come up again. Only that one time.

Twomore question. WhenI put the car in gear, whydoes the engine tilt up towards the rear of the compartment? Also, I was told that inorder to check the transmision fuild you should have the car in gear. Does this make a diference?

What I recommend is to replace the "Crankshaft sensor" as soon as possible, and further recommend that you order the sensor straight from the "car dealer" and no place else???
