Status update: 4/26/08 - 5:57 PM

So far, I have mounted a "mock up" exhaust manifold with the mattdog adapter plate to the engine head. I have tied into the exhaust. I got up underneath the car to see how my intercooler piping will run. I might need a few more bits of pipe but it looks set.

I just finished mounting the intercooler, having said that, I am taking a break to eat dinner and then to go pick up some new exhaust manfiold gaskets...

As well, tonight I am going to look to see where my oil/coolant lines are going to be going. I am in touch with "turbodudey" on the other 2gn and he is helping me out.

I have surprisingly more room than I thought I would (all the hype of no room and all...).

I am having some issues with figuring out how I am going to run my cold-side piping from the intercooler to the manifold (LACK OF ROOM... who thought?).

Thats my status. I could seriously have this thing done in a few days... (JINXX!!!)

Cool, Tomorrow I am going to re-run my coolant overflow to somehwere else.. then I have no idea. Probably find some measurements, order some more intercooler piping, and read up...

**AFTERTHOUGHT EDIT**

I want to replace my cat... and every dealership (considering it is a dealership part) is quoting me 554 bucks at the least.

I asked every dealer and that is just for the cat... AHHHHHH!!! Can someone else call up their local dealer and see what the price is?

No idea, it is currently just mocked up. I only have a limited time to do this, so a full install will have to wait...

So, I am thinking just getting little projects done like measuring and finding how my oil lines will run, finish routing my intercooler piping, and then some other small projects before I go through the actual install.

I am goin to have to take this manifold and the plates off and re-install my header either tonight or tomorrow. The more I can buy and measure, the better off I will be when I do the full install.

^^ this is true, i accually drove my car with my intercooler mounted for around three months, then when i installed everything it was alot easier, just because the intercooler was already done, i ran it to my intake so all i had to do is run my hot side pipe... made it alot easier..... could do that, prolly saved me about a day when it came to the install....

That is just what I finished mocking up. I have the pipes run up to the intake. All I need to do now is disconnect my K&N and hook it up the the throttle body. I have the hotside piping started. I just finished covering up the wholes so nothing gets in there.

Took off the turbo manifold last night and put back on the header.

I can't wait to keep on going.
