Default FreeRiders Project Log

Ok, so I decided instead of flooding the O/T section with pictures of my hap-hazard Turbo and parts install, I figured I would post up my entire project log here on the D/F!!!!!

W00T DF!

Anyways...

I got my car on August 29th, 2005:

I bought the car, not fully aware of how much you can actually do to the car, with just the idea of a comfortable Daily Driver.

Unfortunately for my wallet, it wouldn't stay that way. I joined this forum a few days later looking for a place to talk about the car.

After a few mods, I decided what I wanted to do. I wanted enough power to make me happy when I put my foot down on the gas, and yet a good feel around corners. So I decided on a F/I idea, and fully adjustable coil-over suspension. So I set out on a power modification (and a few appearence modification) purchasing frenzy. (A complete list on my cardomain).

My Most major project in 07 was a camshaft(crane cam #0012). Pictures of the build and such are on my cardomain. I am going to go ahead and post just some of the install pics up here now...

Now:

^^ that is really the only thing that has changed physically... reasons follow.

What I already Have done to date:

-SRT Rear Spoiler
-Mopar 3D Tail lights
-Mopar Lip Kit
-Antenna X Shorty Antenna
-K&N CAI
-MSD Ignition Coil
-MPx 60mm Throttle Body (polished)
-Prothane Race motor mounts
-Crane Cam #0012
-Crane Valve Springs
-AEM Adjustable Cam Gear
-Front and Rear DC Strut Bars
-PaceSetter Header (selling soon. maybe 18k miles on it).
-Vibrant Muffler
-Rear 6x9 Sony Speakers
-MPx Polished Red Oil Cap
-Red Valve Cover

So, After a turbo-grind Crane Cam #0012, and some other misc. modifications, a friend with a SRT happened to help me out on my turbo build dream. After a pretty decent deal, I had a manifold, turbo, FMIC, wastegate, and 02 housing (250 for all of it ).

What I have waiting in my garage:

-2 SRT-4 Stock Manifolds + Turbos
-SRT-4 Stock FMIC
-Mopar Blow Off Valve
-2 SRT-4 Stock Wastegates
-SRT-4 Surge Valve
-2 SRT-4 o2 Housings
-Mattdog SOHC-> DOHC Adapter Plate(s)
-AOBE Map Clamp
-Custom Return Line
-OBX RRFPR (12:1)
-NXS Manual Boost Controller
-SRT-4 Hot-Side Pipe
-SRT-4 Charge Pipe
-SRT-4 Cold-Side Pipe
-Custom Hard Cold-Side Pipe
-Custom Hard Bellows Tube
-SRT-4 Turbo Airbox Hose
-SRT-4 Boost Gauge
-SRT-4 Gauge Pod (no pictures yet)
-OEM 03 SRT-4 Injectors
-New Fuel Lines
-MPx Coil Pack Heat Shield
-PowerSlot Slotted Rotors

I have a new fuel pump, but it is somewhere lost with UPS....

I figured I would buy the MPx Heat Shield to save my coil pack. I have heard horror stories from SRT owners where their MSD coil packs melted due to the heat of the turbo...

My hopes are to start installing the rotors soon, with some new brake pads (still need to buy... ).

After that, I am still ordering a new Radiator, Hood (need VENTALATION MANG!!), and a SRT or bigger Exhaust system before I start the install.
