I GOT THE MNEY AND WANT TO DO A ENGINE SWAP TO A 2.4SRT-4.

anyone have any advice in knowing if its hard to do ?

 

Well...you need these parts:

Engine and Tranny
Complete Engine Wiring Harness
Complete Engine Bay Wiring Harness
Power Steering Pump, lines, and cooler
Clutch master and slave cylinder
Clutch/Brake Pedal assembly
Intercooler Piping
Intercooler
Radiator Hoses
Tranny, Upper and Lower Motor Mounts (the holes are larger on the the upper and lower mounts for larger bolts and the tranny mount is completely different)
SRT PCM (wont' need the bracket with 03+)
Axles (and half shaft if it isn't on the engine)
Coolant Bottle
Fuel Line (from tank to engine bay)
Fuel Pump
Flex Fuel Line (from solid fuel line to fuel rail)
Short evap hose that comes from the purge valve
All vacuum lines and the 3 selonids
o2 Sensors
Turbo Housing + O2 Housing
Lower Control Arms (they're stronger yet the same in shape)
Sentry Key Module + Key that matches the PCM VIN number.
Radiator


Some options parts would include:

SRT Power steering rack (it's shorter)
Knuckles
Flexiable Brake Lines
Calipers
Rotors

...you also need to be a pretty proficient mechanic, have a few days to do the swap just in case, and have a second vehicle to be able to drive.

i was checking out ur pics and i saw ur intake manifold-- it looked like a srt-4 intake manifold.. is it one? if yes does it just bolt up easily to other neons.because i was wanting one for my neon which is an 04 sxt but didnt know if it just bolted up rite.

his intake manifold in an R/T manifold because thats what the r/t's come with in addition to the 10hp better motor.
The r/t and srt intake may look similar but the srt outflows the r/t.

and here comes the flamming..... god guys just keep this one on track so this kid doesnt start yet another thread about this..... one sidenote.... don't you have to cut the K-member a little bit to get the SRT4 motor in there?
