check the TPS wires, i haven't yet but have read that it can be the cause

its a vac leak somewhere. possibly your catch can wasnt closed right.

Yeah except that i've never messed with my catch can before. I'll try it and see what happens.

I turned it off and when I started it this morning it was behaving fine...but now it's back to it's pain in the *** ways.

Meh, sounds like your VTEC solenoid relay switch is malfunctioning.
