Default exhaust

think im gonna get some exhaust when i get my income tax check... anyone have pacesetter exhaust on thier neon? or have seen anyone with it installed... im thinking pacesetter or vibrant.... from pictures ive seen pacesetter seems to hang better than the vibrant.. only downside i hear is that the install is annoying (pipes dont match you have to get adapters and fit it). any input would be appreciated. thanks

I have the Pacesetter header and cat-back exhaust. Sounds great but one side of the tip hangs lower than the other. Not that many people notice it until I point it out though. Also, don't listen to the reviews unless they say it sounds great. All of that, "Hold on to your steering wheel" and power exaggeration quotes are BS. I've looked at reviews for AFX underdrive pulley and all of the parts I have, everyone exaggerates.

As far as the Pacesetter header, get the armor coated header instead of the reg header. The reg. black P. header chips and looks old already. I've only had it for a few months. I'm satisfied with my Pacesetter products though. The quality could be better but it is good for the price. My next car will have a Borla exhaust.

There were a few posts talking about the pacesetter exhaust not too long ago. Look at the other pages of previous posts and you'll see more opinions. Like I said, I love the sound though.[&:]

No catback exhaust is going to do that, unless you drive your car like a granny prior to installing the exhaust. Then drive like a bat out of hell after you install it and then realize "oh I had torque steer?" Yeh, you did before your exhaust too.

I have the cat-back on my 98. I had no problems with install and it sounds great. My pipes are even, and if yours are not the you did not install it right. loosen the clamp and pick it up a little. either side is adjustable.

The yellow is really not that visable, its actually under the bumper.

I have a 2000 Dodge Neon. I left the yellow tips; I also try to clean the yellow the keep it looking new. The carbon will cover it up quickly. Thinking about it, I might paint the tips in the future.

I can't adjust my muffler b/c I was told there is only one size hanger.
