The capacitor sits right behind the driver seat on the floor.

The capacitor read 13.8

The Breaker so when it gets hot it helps me not blow fuses.

wtf.... a 300amp breaker... wtf are you powering a lil' village or something......? you're better off blowing fuses... b/c i doubt that you need a 300amp breaker, no way in hell you can push that much current....the most current i've seen a car with a stock Alternator and no extra batteries is what... 35amps..... maybe 50amps for a party bus/limo but 300amps..... you gotta be outa your mind hahaha

well if the breaker is blowing i'd say the breaker itself is shorting your circuit out so i'd say get rid of that POS and just deal with it if a fuse blows... they aren't that expensive or hard to replace... and im sorry but how often are you really gonna max out ur subs....? unless you are literally deaf already that is.... then i maybe i could understand? lol anyways get rid of the POS b/c you dont need a house breaker in your car....... i mean if it is an AC (alternating current) breaker that could be why it is blowing b/c your car runs on DC (Direct Current) so its possible that the breaker is blowing b/c it isn't getting the alternating current that its suppose to...? or its just a POS that you got con'ed into buying in the first place... either way scrap the breaker idea... fuses are meant to act as breakers in the first place, if you are that worried about stuff heating up then either you didnt wire the sound system right or you can just simply make an amp rack and mount some fans to blow air around to help cool the amp and some components down.... but ur not pushing anywhere near anything that would be considered competition level so im not sure you have much to worry about..... just my $.02

RE: subwoofer issuses
might be a problem with your high level inputs going to your amp. high level inputs create alot more noise then your average 2.5-5 volt rca outputs from the head unit. and everyone nows that you can safely overpower speakers as long as there is no distortion. so if there is distortion like from your high level inputs, i think thats your problem.

On the ground issue which i really dont think it is...check to make sure you have a low gauge wire for that as well, after doing that also try putting your ground to your negative battery terminal and seeing if that changes anything...that breaker is a bit over the top tho....however its not causing it to short out, a break will read any type of current. if your worried bout using a breaker go with a fuse instead....way better than breakers. But since u do say that your breaker is being flipped then you have an obvious short somewhere in the circuit. Next time it happens feel your amp....if your amp is too hot to touch then it is to hot to operate.
Also check your bass levels, If they are too high then that could be the problem.
check for any shorts on the speaker wires, this will creat a low impedence condition and cause the amp to shut off
Your input sensitivity (gain) may be set too high, try lowering that gain to see if your amp is still shuts off
and honestly i would go buy a 30 amp fuse or something cuz that breaker isnt cutting it and i dont even wanna hear about the couple of hundred you spend on it either.
