Big?? Uh-oh... Need some help....
Ok so i was putting a powercoated valve cover on today and as my brother was tightening up the valve cover bolts... he broke one of the bolts.... it isnt a corner bolt but he still snaped the thing pretty good....
1) how serious of a problem is this? (can i still drive here and there...? i did put extra RTV gasket maker all around the edge of the valve cover and all that)
2) whats the part # for the valve cover bolts as im gonna need to get a new one...(might pick up more than one if i can... just in case "muscles" (aka. my lil brother) takes his anger out on one of them again...)?
thanks guys

is the thread of the bolt still stuck in the cylinder head?? if so, go to ace hardware and they have a kit for around 20 bucks that comes with different sizes of these reverse drill bit things that actually will turn the bolt out for you so when you put a new one in, its no problem.
Just take one of the other matching bolts up to Home Depot and let them or you match it up on the nut and bolt chart. Simple problem simple solution.
yea but if i do that the bolt wont have the seat for the gasket that it comes with so ill be SOL in the gasket dept.... which could cause a leaking problem.....i just want to fix everything and not have to worry about all of it.........
You should be able to order a set of bolts from a auto place... If not there then a dealer would def be able to hook you up, It'll be more money but you'll have the right bolts...
