Water in intake

Water in intake
I bought a short ram intake from eBay, and when I was installing it I had the pipe off from the TB to the manifold I believe it is called, and when I looked inside, there was water in there, with almost the appearance of coolant. I couldn't imagine the stock air intake sucking up that much water as it was enclosed, so what is this?

RE: Water in intake
Might be oil/moisture/junk that you sucked into your intake from the breather tube on the top-driver-side of your valve cover... design flaw on Chrysler's part. If you rev high a lot or make drastic right turns, you suck more junk out of your crankcase into your intake, and it just lays in there for a LONG time.

RE: Water in intake
the line on the drivers side valve cover houses the pcv valve used for pressure ventilation and oil vapors escape back into the intake manifold for recycling back into the system. if you have a watery mixture that resembles coolant, you have a problem likely in your cylinder head gasket. when the car is cold, remove your coolant cap and look at the coolant to see what color it is. it should be orange if the manufacturers coolant is in there. check the color of this coolant with the color of the watery mixture in the intake manifold. if they are the same, replace your cylinder head gasket.
