Transaxle leaking at axle.....
Ladies and Gents,
I own an '05 Neon SXT, 5sp. I noticed a slight leak at the passenger side axle. I believe it's under warranty still (bought new in 06, 7/70,000 warranty). In case they jack me, how hard is it to replace this seal?
I imagine, pull axle, pull seal, replace seal, install axle, get an alignment (in a nutshell). Any special tools, I don't own a puller, own a hammer though
Thanks in advance.

yeah, pritty much that covers it, but u should not need an alignment... it will not mess up the camber or caster on the car if u only pull one side apart.... (dont disconect the tie rod end to get the cv shaft out and u will be fine)
If it is covered in the powertrain then they should fix it. I ran into this problem with my transmission they told my it was not under warranty so I called the main Daimler Chrysler office and had it in the shop the next day. Don't let them try and screw you.

I don't plan on laying down on it, but wanted worse case scenario.
Good to know that I don't need an alignment in case I get stuck doing it.
Thanks for the help.
