thought i'd post some pics of the newly painted cf hood on the car. if you guys remember an earlier posting this hood was sun faded and had tons of cracks. i used glazing compound and sealer primer 2 coats of color and 4 coats of clear. I now have to repaint the rest of the car cuz the hood looks so much better than the car lol. i also wet sanded and buffed my headlights clear. what you guys think? next to come is darker tint and mesh in the grill maybe an srt exhaust.

Wow the hood really good!! Your car is dirty, you shouldve cleaned it before taking pics. lol
You should get yourself a pair of Halo Projector Headlights...it will look alot better.

what springs and struts do you have and how much does it lower the car? Do you rub, or bottom out alot?

I don't know if it's just the angle but is there a larger gap around the antenna area?
With the paint job, hopefully it doesn't fade and crack anymore.

 

Nice lookin painted cf hood you have there and yeah some black housings or halos would look killer on your ride.

 

If I remember right she has 1st gen Skunk2 springs on it.

 

yea i have skunk2 racing springs on it they no longer make the springs i have they make a taller version now. i do bottom out the suspension a lot but u learn quickly how to drive, how to go over things, enter parking lots and how to avoid bottoming the car out pretty fast. the one thing i keep forgetting is that i have to swerve around things in the road i cant straddle anything lol. the tires dont rub at all tho only thing that would rub is if i go wider on the rims/tires. i'mnot allowed to wash the hood yet well i can today cuz ur suppoed to wait a week or two to wash fresh paint. but im buffing it and the rest of the car tomorrow so maybe ill post some clean pics. the hood curves in at the top for some reason so theres a largegap on both sides.

 

i have always liked that style hood.... he he... my profile message i think states it the best... looking good keep it up
