... it loses hp but not that much torque... and wierdly enough, on long trips at steady speed, gas mileage deosn't seem to be effected much by the AC... acceleration does, but mpg doesnt which sounds strange but it happens (in my car anyway).

 

ive had the loss of power problem in my 2005 atx. during acceleration in 2nd or 3rd, id feels like it wants to die halfway through the gear. but other than that, its fine. my mpg is actually pretty close to the same as if the windows are down or a/c is on. if your cool like me, i roll my windows down to smoke and have the a/c on at the same time. but thats because i dont care about my money.

 

Well I do care about the money but other than that, I can't argue... I'm a smoker too, so I do the same thing a lot just because hey this is Iowa and it gets freakin hot here and I want to be comfortable. But once everything cools down I'll shut it off from time to time just to give it a break and get a few extra miles out of it...

 

its gonna be hella hot here in michigan in the summer, i can already feel it.
