Did a tiny bit to the neon today
Gave under the hood a modest cleaning and touched up some bad area's of it.
Here is what i had to start with:
Painted the intake manifold to get rid of the spotted rust finish.
Also painted the upper radiator supports.
And here is the finished product. (Note paint is still a tad bit wet as you can see from one of the radiator mounts)
While cleaning i found this, i guess that's bad eh

Hmm yeah that mount isn't good obviously... good thing you found it though.

I sanded the intake, and routered all the rust out of the one radiator support

Looking sweet.
You could do a couple more things like the fuse cover and fuel rail cover and it would look even better.
Yeah, the motor mounts don't look too good.

now is that actually a motor mount or the upper torque mount? ive heard it called both, was just wondering the correct term

Officially, it is called an "upper torque mount" so yes you are correct. But realistically, it is a glorified name for a motor mount, nothing more.

eh motor mounts break, it happens. happened to me way to many times until i bought prothane mm inserts. Havent had any problems since it was the best $25 purchase ive made for my car

Yup, filling mine in with a custom urethane here soon (cant tell the name of it or I may get in trouble) and hopefully it helps mine out a bit before they break.
