Not hard either way... did it arrive to you the exact same way as I see it in the photos, nothing different?

Eitherwaymeaning 1. Theway it is in thephotos is the way it is now, or2. It hasbeencutsince then.

Since it isexactly thesame way you see it in the photos, itshould beveryeasy to re-assembleonto your car... liek I said, an honest shop should charge you no more than $40 to get the job done right, and very quick.

Take it to the old-guy shop, the one that looks much worse than the retail stores... you know, the one wher you cant even read the faded paint on the sign anymore becaus the owner quit giving a **** back in 1971. Anyway, those old-guy garages are the best ones, becaus that 163-yr-old man that owns the place will only charge you small $ to throw it on quick, and I would bet all of that, that he is probably the best welder and fabricator within 10 counties.

Just my 2 cents.

Well I'm going to find out more info tomorrow of who that I know can do it in the next two days. If no one then gather some money up and have it done by the shop. I know of a few people who can weld really well.[8D]

Sounds good. Should be quick and cheap, minimal welding seeing how half that exhaust is clamp-together OEM anyway and will fit exactly with the existing hangers on your car...

What items would be best to clean the chrome tips on the exhaust?

Yes... it should take them a few minutes to remove the old exhaust, and not much more to place the "new" exhaust on... hangers and basic dimensions are all swapable between the two. Any light weld or fab work (if needed)should be basic as well.

Us e some mild degreaser to take any loose/caked dirt off of them. Make sure they are cool or "room/air temperature," i.e., not right after your car was running. A good degreaser or detergent (Dawn dishsoap is a good degreaser) with some light scrubbing. After that, pick you up some good stainless steel polish. You can get it at any parts store or even WalMart. Its basically a paste that you us e liek wax, with a bit more elbow grease involved. Mothers makes a good one (sold in a round tin). I think Black Magic does as well. Many other companies also make the stuff.

Well just to specify... they should be stainless, not chrome. Stainless is good... chrome is not so good...

Im not sure if it would make that much difference, but personally I would make sure you pick up stainless cleaner/polish, and make sure it specifies that only (not "aluminum" or "chrome" or anything else) and you will be good to go...
