I drag raced my neon last night. It's a 01 with a automatic completely stock. The et time was 18.1 with a reaction time of .56 at 77 mph. It has 124,000 miles so i think it did pretty good.
Very nice reaction time, thats good for any car and/or driver. dtjackten... he he, you know I love ya man lol. Same with you KARR... your avatar makes up for what everyone else says about ya. LOL j/k!!!
Thank you. Last night was the first time i have ever drag raced. It was deff fun and an adrenaline rush even though it wasn't the fastest car there nor the slowest.
Good times. One time in Michigan, I took my 93 Probe out to Milan Dragway and ran a couple passes with it. It was just a 2.0 ATX, but it still ran a 17.6... but I completely embarassed myself, because on my last pass, I literally spaced out for some reason and had a 1.30 reaction time (AGH!). There was a guy out there running the $1500 brackets in minivan, running consistent 22-second passes. He came in 2nd place lol. The 10-second guys wanted to strangle him.
Oh yeah they hate that when slow cars do bracket racing lmao cuz they don't have to worry about spinning there tires or anything they just have to worry about reaction time lol.
Yeah it was funny... years ago when I was out there with the Probe, I was in the time trials and was lined up next to this guy in a 10-second early-70s Camaro. When the tree lit, I took off and got a 0.65 RT. He dumped the clutch and stalled it at the line... when we crossed the trap, I ran my 17.6... he crossed the trap right when I did, and flew by me like a bat out of hell. The times were hilarious... mine was a 17.6 at like 75 mph. His was a 17.8 @ 147... ha ha ha ha HE WAS PISSED
