Default What the heck is that?

Every time I take a hard left or when I have two or more people in my back seat, my right rear wheel makes a lound clunking noise. Any idea what this is?

These are the first three things that came to mymind, Loose wheel, a broken strut or you need new bushing's because one or more has let go.

Well I know for sure the wheel is not loose. That was the first thing I checked.

Tommorrow you should try to get under the car to investigate, either way check the bushings.

Sounds fun not really lol. I've never checked bushings before. What do I look for?

Good info. Also check the spring where it seats at the top of the fender well, around the strut mount... there is a rubber gasket up there that the spring seats itself in. Under heavy load/cornering, the spring can make a popping sound as it rides in and out of the rubber. Happened to me.

Iowa what hasnt happened to you? LOL. Like they said it sounds like a strut. How is the ride when you hit a bump? Does your back end bounce around? Does your back end sag when you have people in the back?

No no, I didnt have a prob with the strut, only the spring and the rubber piece that it rests in. And I would hope that her rear end sags a bit when she has junk in her trunk, unless she has REALLY stiff springs in it lol.

I mean if it sags alot. Just push down on the back end if it goes down easily you have a problem with the strut.
