Not a bad 2-way component system here, note the included crossover module and seperatable components:

Back when high-qaulity stereo equipment was certified as "Mobile-ES," JL Audio was in the top of this category. Stores li ke Best Buy, Circuit City, etc, could not get the Mobile-ES certification... therefore any high-end component or brand couldnt be sold at those stores. Best Buy got around this somehow and started selling a few cheaper Mobil-ES certified head units a whil e back... as soon as they started doing this, the"Mobile-ES" thing got abolished... which meant brands li ke JL Audio didnt have to worry about being "snoody" about it, and kept their distribution privately controlled, and therefore that is one reason why they never were, and choose now to not be sold at Best Buy or lower-end stores li ke that. Same with Eclipse and Kicker... although that may have changes a bit lately... those companies remain higher-end, and prefer to stay in the smaller, high-end car audio markets instead of going into the big-box stores.
