Unhappy 2001 Neon replacement Stock Pistons. Where to buy?

Hello members,

I need help locating stock pistons for a 2001 Dodge Neon SOHC 2.0L.

I don't know the Engine type (Code name). I don't know where it's located.

My main concern is replacing the pistons with new stock ones so I can get the car back on the road. I have searched on ebay and Google but could not find pistons for 2001 Neon, which makes no sense. There are plenty of parts for a 99 or older so I don't know if pistons from 99 Neon will fit 2001 neon???

So someone please guide me as it's my first Dodge vehicle and I am not familiar with the engine types (codes like 420A) so I don't know what the 2.0L SOHC is called which is in my 2001 Neon?

Where can I buy new Stock Pistons?

Not sure about OEM pistons... you could maybe try JCWhitney for OEM, but I don't know if they would offer them either. Jegs, or Summitsportcompact for a nice set of aftermarket ones.

Notes:
#1 Most Wiseco pistons have offset pins. Pins must be offset the same as o.e. for quietest operation - Pin offset will be opposite of direction of engine rotation.
Notes: that apply to all Part #'s:
* Some pistons are listed with a range of compression ratio's. The low number is determined w/an un-cut deck and the high number is determined w/.030 piston to cylinder head clearance.
* Always check pistons to valve clearance - If using VTEC or like mechanisms- check w/longer duration higher lift lobe.
* Always run at least .030 piston to head clearance including gasket thickness.
* If piston appears to be different than expected, please do not hesitate to call Wiseco at 800-321-1364 to verify proper installation specifications.

Thumbs up Advance Auto Parts got them ;)

After days of searching and calling I got a hold of someone at Advance Auto Parts and they happen to have the stock pistons for 2001 Neon for $31.48.
So all four for only $133.48.

Jegs, eBay, AutoZone, and many other stores I tried none of them carry pistons for a 2001 Neon SOHC.

That's some good information to know. I have also been finding more of what I need at Advance lately as well... they are becoming my new favorite auto parts store.

Hmm thats what I was thinking too... why not some higher compression bling-bling... one of the biggest drawbacks of our engines.

I did the compression test on all cylinders after new piston install:
Cylinder 1: 181 psi
2,3,4: 180 psi

I am not sure what the stock compression is suppose to be.
