aquired an extra valve cover to play with. had been painted, but not good, and some spots of surface corrosion of the alluminum are showing w h ere the paint chipped off.
Had a guy who said, after looking at it, he would sand-blast it and send it out to be powder coated/colored any color I want... for 55 to 60 bucks total

Not a bad price. I don't know if they are still around or still have them in stock for the neon, but mancini racing had powdercoated valve covers for about 60 bucks a couple years ago. I bought a yellow one, but I have yet to put it on my car. I paid right around 60 bucks if I remember right. I know it was well under 100 dollars. But that price sounds about right to get it powdercoated.
