Default the neon is back, for real...lol

so for detailed info on why it wasn't running, see http://forum.2GN.org/viewtopic.php?t=35174

otherwise here's the deal

rebuilt the front end,

electrical power issue,

replaced fusable link in alternator circuit,

engine power loss,

replaced TB,

checked all air intake and manifold connections/fuses/cables/hoses, etc...

replaced fuel filter/pump unit,

removed muffler(didnt solve the issue)

removed catback piping(still didnt solve the isse)

removed cat, issue solved,

(*cleaned*) and replaced cat,

replaced piping,

replaced muffler,

CAR RUNS!

i now obviously have a CEL, from the cat being decatified,

i am assuming that this wont go away, even if i disconnect the battery, so, how can i clear this particular code or something? its code P0420

and i know someone with a scantool....

the downstream O2 sensor is telling the cpu that something is wrong.

if you clear it will still comeback since the upstream sensor is reading different from the downstream sensor behind the cat.

You will need to do the spark plug non-fouler trick

you need a new cat... there really isn't any way to "clean" a cat.... so spend the money and fix it right.... you may need a new 02 sensor specially if you let the current one sit in the open air while you took the cat off and ran the car... so yea... new high flow cat and new 02 sensor and you should be ok...
