2001 2.0 Neon SOHC timing belt tensioner
Hi,
I have a broken timing belt on my "2001" 2.0 SOHC Plymouth Neon. Looking at the manual for the 2000 Neon, the timing belt tensioner appears very different than the one on my 2001.
Mine has something akin to a vertical mounted shock that has 2 bolts allowing it to be raised up or down to put pressure on the tensioner pulley.
I have a couple of questions:
1) Do I really need to replace this when changing the timing belt ? If so, which tensioner should I replace it with ?
2) If I don't need to replace it, how do I tighten/adjust it ?
BTW, I don't mind getting a pointer to a thread that answers my questions.
Thanks in advance,
Brian
