Exclamation check out my album/looking for power

OK so ive been away from DF for a little while and have done some cosmetic mods (rims, exhaust, etc look at album) and now want to start doing some engine work...now i have a 2005 se automatic...my dilemma is this, im between doing a manual conversion, or just investing on engine mods and staying auto....opinions?? Will i get more power with one then the other? How much power should i realistically expect with my sohc 2.0L engine?? And after the obvious mods (intake, full piping, headers, cams) what else detailed engine work can i do to see significant power gains! I KNOW THIS IS ALOT BUT LIKE I SAID, IVE BEEN GONE FOR A WHILE AND NEED SOME SUGGESTIONS!! THANKS!

i would say swap to a manual, since its lighter and then get into da engine. a throttle body, intake mani, motor mounts, udp and u should see some recognizable gains

Yeah UDP is a pretty good mod. It's pretty cheap and you notice a lot more gains than the UDP. Just make sure to upgrade your factory grounds to bigger wires. But do the MTX swap...ATX is no fun at all

well i guess it is all about what u want and how much u want to spend really?? i do want to chase hondas, mustangs or vettes??? lol vettes get ur money out, mustangs buy the hahn turbo kit, and hondas well leave it stock.... lol..

alright all kidding aside, as contagious said.... those are good mods for NA cars... if u go for forced induction u can only get so fair with the stock 2.0 blocks, about 250ft lbs of torque.... i would say u should answer one very important question before buying ANY parts....

forced induction or naturally aspertated??

^ this question will not just save time but alot of money as well....

i would go to ur local junk yard and pic up a neon head.... and build that, cam, springs, valves, port and polish, that is where i saw my biggest gain when i was still na.... and even with turbo a built head is just going to be one less thing u have to do when or if u go forced induction

hope i helped

car looks really good... i like the rims, and accually the mopar sticer in the back door looks really good to....

i would just get a head from a junk yard or some one here on df... i have a few if ur interested... i did it this way because my car at the time was my only car, and needed a way to get the head built and still drive the car, i saved up some money and bought a cam, saved up some more money and bought valves, and so on.... just a thought, then one weekend i threw it on my car....

just a thought

Car looks good. I'm not sure about the stripe but it is your car. DTJ is one of the experts when getting performance out of these cars as well as the others
