Default Silly question...

...But what the heck is that little divot on the back of the center console? I mean the little indentation & lip right under the hinge for the armrest that faces the backseat. I've had Neons since '05 & I just installed a 2nd gen console in my 99 & I cannot for the life of me figure out what that could possibly be.

i honestly dont know. i have been wondering that myself. i think its just there for looks lol

one of my friends turned it into a makeshift ash tray holder a few days ago. so i probably can be of some use

lol i've always wondered this myself as well. Maybe it helps one of those interior sway bars or strut bars fit better by slipping into that slot?

theres a little lip behind the center console. apparently it looks like is uses for something. but kabuk1 wanted to know what it was for and i didnt know. so im guessing this is where is gotten so far
