When my 2002 Neon SXT is moving, it will make a pretty loud squeaking noise. It sounds like it is coming from the rear of the car, The noise will progresivly get quicker until im going about 40ish MPH when it completely stops.

 

No one has any idea?

 

Dunk the rear of the car in a giant vat of WD40?
But, in all seriousness...check your axels, brakes, drive, wheels, etc. back there.
That's odd that the sound gets quieter the quicker you go, but its worth a shot.
I've never heard of anything like this before...maybe someone put a whistle tip on your exhaust without you knowing, and it gets so loud that its supersonic about 40? XD

 

also check the wheel bearings in the back. that fixed my squeaking noise.

without looking at the FSM how do I go abouts doing that?

 

It'd probably be easier just to look at the FSM anyways. I'd just copy and paste it, lol.
