Default I put the K&N CAI on today. Question

It finally came yesterday and I installed it. Not to bad. Had my son to watch (10 month old) so it took me about 1hr to do. Question? When you give it gas at idle or take off, there is a hummm or drone sound. Not the normal sound from a CAI of all the air rushing in. It's different. What is it?

I have the K&N on my car as well and mine does not hum. Only I can think of is it that is vibrating on the frame somewhere. My CAI is pretty loud.

I forgot to put that "rubber trim" around the hole the intake tube goes down. Maybe that's it?
Wife says it's not loud. But, I heard her drive it and get on it around the block! lol

Most likely, I would try that and report back.

when i installed my AEM CAI a long time ago, i would get a hissing noise from it, just from the suction, and when I did get onto it, there was a drone or hum was the sound of the engine, you will get a amplified sound when you get on it.

I get a nice little growl when I hit the gas.

Mine is a little more than a growl....You can hear it a block away. Not kidding. Wife took it for a test ride, I could hear her on the next street. lol
