i thought that a serpintine belt was one belt that ran everything like on my mustang... and the belts on a our cars where it has 2 different belts were considered Vbelts...

Definition-wise, our Neons have V-belts (go out and look at the shape of them) --- separate belts shaped like a V. A serpentine belt is flat and runs everything from the one belt.
