Default cranking, now NOTHING

ok, i am kinda in a hurry, but i am going to give the condenced version.. i tryed starting my car last night, car would kinda start up, then die.... last night i gave up, went to the auto parts store and got a battery and new set of plugs...

intalled the plugs, and battery, cranked it about ten times....never accually started... i got out of the car and went in the house to think about it..... now when i went out there, I GET NOTHING. no cranking , turning over, nothing just dead! the radio and amp and all works however.... just nothing in the engine bay.... i am thinking ground????

any one help, and anyone have a link to the grounds on our car?? not sure why it would work one min, and five min later have NOTHING....

heading to the mall, so i hope some of u post by the time i get back...

dont know if these newer ones have starter relays but that would be the first place that i would look. Then check the wireing to the starter and make sure the solenoid is getting power when you trun the key.

Do these cars have fuel pump shut off switches? If so, maybe check that just to be sure?

If you need a shop manual, go to my post with both years' manuals in it. Grounds will be in the wiring section. Too much to post.

i am going to look for a starter relay today... then go from there...

it is a five speed? i am also going to look for into the newtral safty switch as well

all it was is an engine inop fuse in the fuse box by the drivers seat.... no big deal, turns over again, minor..... but stil not firing... have to look into fuel pressure.... i may need to get an inline fuel pump also i am thinking

going to try to hunt down a fuel pressure gauge other than the one in my car.... according to that it is running psi, but i have fuel in my rail...... sooooo.... i have to look into that....

sounds to me like another computer problem... i blew my computer one time and it wasnt letting my fuel pump run, as a matter of fact i believe it kept blowin the relay for the fuel pump too.... if your computer is done for, its doin the opposite of what mine was and wont let it fire. will it throw any codes or anything when you do the key trick?
