Default Engine problems?

My car runs pretty fine but it lags horribly. I press the gas about half way in, decent amount of gas, it leans forward a bit and sputters and doesnt go like its trying to die or somethin. Not exactly sure whats goin on. Any input would be appreciated.

Theres no check engine light. I dont think its a very serious problem but I still dont know what it is. Maybe I'm just pushing it too hard.

Try a tune up, mine was recently doing that and a set of plugs and wires got rid of her stuttering problem.

I was going to type this but didn't...

You don't have to have a check engine light to have stored codes. The CEL only comes up for emissions related problems. When my transmission pump was bad, I had no CEL (not emissions), but I had 4 stored codes in the computer.

Read the instructions? On mine, IIRC, I plug it in and turn the key to "on."
