Post Wondering if anyone else has had the same problem...

So I have a 2005 dodge neon sxt and every now and then when it rains and I leave to go somewhere in my car I notice that water is coming from up under the dash and my passenger side floor board gets soaking wet. It doesn't happen every time it rains, its very wierd. It seems to be coming from some cylindrical thing, not sure what it is.

Any help?

Mine does this on the drivers side. I still have not figured out where it comes from. It is hit or miss, it can pour all day and it won't leak or it can just mist and it will get in there. Its really quite weird.

This seems to be a common problem with Dodge Vehicles.

There is a seal on the passenger side Hood Hinge area. If this seal is cracked or broken or missing you will get water in the car every time it rains.
The water runs down the windshield in to the Hing area under the Hood.

You may need to take the hood off to get to the seal. First pour water over the area, if it comes in the car there is your problem.

You can seal it with any water proof silicone sealer .

-Yep. I just fixed the leak on my Wife's '05 SXT a couple weeks ago. It took about a total of 20 minutes to get it done and put back together.
