I have a 2000 neon, will the 2.4 turbo motor fit in my car?

yes, for the most part... The PT-GT engine uses different IC piping and a different intake manifold. Other than that it is the same as the SRT. It will fit in just fine, but do to the 03+ NGC controller you will need the full wiring harnesses (engine and dash) along with the cluster.

Isn't the trick with the PT GT engine is that you can use an auto instead of a manual with it?

Very close...

2.0l ATX trannys will bolt up to any SRT block as the SRT-4 and PT-GT blocks are the same. The trick i think you speak of is the PT-GT ECU to run the auto tranny.

There is an SRT here in Hawaii with a strocked 2.6l that pushes 700+whp on race gas. He runs a fully build 1st gen ATX tranny.

the pt will fit. Like everyone said you have to use certain parts. The benefit is it is so much easier to just hook up the whole powertrain at the same time from the same vechile. I thought about it, but would rather have the srt setup

I've only seen it one time somewhere, so I was kind of guessing from memory. That is probably what it was. Thanks
