Where are these mystical 8-12 psi numbers coming from?
A tip. Do not run what other people run. Every engine, turbo set up, etc is slightly different and you don't want to blow up your engine. Along with your wideband, get something to watch knock with. Your air/fuel can be good, but if you knock too much - say goodbye to pistons, rings, rods, etc. You may not even know it is knocking enough to destroy the engine.
I think it is a given, but make sure to run 91 octane once you bolt the turbo on.
I know that you can check out a certain forum for used SRT-4 parts. I picked up a stock turbo and manifold for under 100$.
With that, I wish you good luck.

the only problem with getting the turbo and manifold is i spent 375 getting the header, downpipe, and my muffler on, and to put the manifold on would almost be a waste of that money lol...and i got a stupid question, i know you need a an intercooler, but do you need the piping, or is there something in the engine it hooks up to?

There needs to be a pipe/tube from the turbo to the intercooler and from the intercooler to the throttle body. It must be able to hold under pressure as well.
i don't know what turbo i'm gonna use, i don't think i can use one with the header i have, i'm jsut at a crossroads with this lol, i thik i might jsut wait it out and get it as cheap as possible, so i can maybe get it for 160 bucks after shipping and not 225
To put a turbo on your Neon, I would estimate, even if you buy everything used, that you are going to spend at least 1000$, if not 1500+$.
A used wideband is 200$
turbo/manifold - 100$
intercooler/piping/clamps - 100$
injectors - 50$
return line -200$
fuel pump - 100$
exhaust - 200+$
All of the other little stuff that comes up - 250$? 500$?
yea its not a turbo header...this ebay thing i'm looking at has....
turbo, manifold, o2 housing, blow off valve, heat sheild, banjo bolts, stock coolant overflow bottle, oil and coolant lines, and support brackets for the o2 housing and exhaust manifold.

don't worry about a exhaust. you can add that later get a adapter the turbofold, then all the pluming intercooler pipes and oil and water fittings then decide what your gonna do for feul since your in florida I would do MS it cost about the same as a return line system but it performs much better. and you don't have too worry about smog testing
