I just ordered a bunch of LED bulbs for my guage cluster. I'll post pics up soon as I get the bulbs and can get them in and working. I figured I gotta rip apart my dash to take out the oil dummy light, why not put some badass bulbs in there why I'm at it? Pics coming soon!!

 

They have a thread going over in the SRt section about dash bulbs, they have a group buy goin on I think.

 

Yeh I know. I have a place that I get bulbs from that I've had good luck with so I'd rather do it myself then through a group buy.

 

Oh ok, it was $35 for the dash and another $15 I think for the HVAC controls.

 

Well so far mine is 16 for the dash. I for some reason didn't order any for the hvac. Guess I'll try the cluster out first and see how that turns out then maybe I'll do the hvac.

 

I am looking to do mine on my 98, but it does not look like I can cause the actual plastic is colored on the HVAC.

 

I don't remember if the hvac on mine is colored or not. I've only had it out 5 times or more and can't remember....lol. I'll have to have a look see when I rip apart my dash.

 

Mine is not clear where the light shines through. It is red and yellow, so I need a whole new piece to change the color of mine.

 

So what do u think the advantage of the led bulbs will be....... Besides less amp pull.. when i pulled my cluster to change the face, they are all white.... so putting in a different bulb prolly won't change the color.. I may be wrong though..... Let me know how it turns out... If you need any advice on pulling the cluster let me know I've got the time down to under 5 minutes now..
