Understood. Those are stock gears on the differential. I do not have access to a 20 ton press to tear down a mtx, and the cost would be more than initially quoted of course. As you well know, no mtx is built to handle such output, save the T850. So the lifespan will be in the hands of the driver. Using proper gear fluid, preloading before launching, etc. The PG is not a true lsd, in comparison to the Quaife unit. There is a cost difference, but there is also a performance difference. You get what you pay for. There is someone that rebuilds the neon mtx for about $370 in Utah (you pay shipping), but the rebuilds are rated to 300whp-350whp.

yeah, i know the phantom grip is not a true lsd, and the quaifie is about 1500 for my trans, i have done some resurch and non have had major problems with the phantom grip, a guy was pushing 350whp with a phantom grip and never had any problems. that was a first gen. for the price u are asking it is almost worth me doing honestly, and getting the phantom grip may just make me happy, i do not run my car to hard honestly, just cruze most of the time. unless some punk kid want to try to mess with me, lol

Right. Well, as you may have read, the PG has been known to leave metal shavings in manual transmission fluid. A problem that can be passified by changing you mtx fluid "regularly," and using a magnetic drain plug. This would pull the shaving away from the synchros and other fragile parts of the mtx. Can add get one for $10at parts store.
