ok so like 3 weeks ago i hit some road kill going to school. since my fenders were molded to the front bumper had to replace those. and i had enough money from insurance so i also got me a srt-4 hood( oh yeah and the new front is urethane this time instead of fiberglass and no im not molding my fenders this time but i did leave out the antenna so no more antenna cause i didnt need it anyways.). its functional too wich is great. got me some new side skirts. drove 3 hours to pick up the side skirts and hood.i was suppose to be repainting the car this past saturday but didnt because the weather,, well has been to hot and humid. so im shooting for next friday because i gotta get it done before i go to those car show/meet with my fellow 2gners in Carlisle PA. i also still have some led side mirrors to hook up. i also already have the paint and clear coat just gotta find a good day and paint it. well here u go with some current pics. for those who have never seen my car on here let me know what you think of it so far. i dont feel like posting pics of what it used to look like but it was once a stock white neon. now its custom painted and custom everything. well enjoy.

but anyways after 3 hours of fiddling with my front bumper i finally got it perfect.theres really no gap inbetween the hood and bumper and everything if perfect as of rite now.here are the pics enjoy.

Yeah, please post up some pictures after you paint it. Its hard to tell how well that bumper is going look on there. I would have skipped the m3 fenders or whatever they are called, but that is just me.

 

i was suppose to of had it painted already but got lazy. but i am going to paint it friday morning and ill have pics posted by saturday nite maybe sunday morning.



yeah me either. i think the new side skirts and srt-4 hood will make it look awesome once painted.

 

]short update.
re repainted the car.
turned out awesome.
its actually more bluer than before. doesnt look as girly.
it needs a good flipping buff and wax in a month or 2.
everything is looking good for the trip me and my girl are going to be making to carlisle pa on thursday with the car.
more updated pics tomorrow when i put the side skirts on and wing and other stuff.
oh and yeah those pics are in the garage cant wait to see what it looks like in the sun.
oh and the hood gap u see is because the hood is open.

Very nice. So how is the radio without a antenna? How long did it take to paint?

 

ehh i never listened to the radio i just played mixed cds all the time. i do have a shorty antenna i would like to get rid of for $20.

well its not how long it took me to paint its how mad i was when i had to redo it. cause i painted it friday morning then my clearcoat came out ****ty. i realized why sunday night when cleaning my gun. i found chunks of dried up clear coat in the gun.and well yesterday i sanded it all down again and repainted and recleared this morning. but if i would of done it rite the first time then its only like a 5 hour deal kinda thing.thats not including taking lights off and masking. thats 3 or so hours to sanding and 2 hours to paint and clear.

but i have to say its not bad for my first real paint job. yes theres things i coulda done better like not have drips on the car. and yes i have some but hey the car still looks amazing.
