My brakes are making the same noise. My front pads and rotors are a year old. I believe the noise is coming from the rear. Ill take it in to my uncle one day.

For those who have had this problem, I would like to share with you the remedy that I encountered. After making sure that my brakes weren't wearing down to the metal, I washed off the dust and the debris inside my brake drum.( I used an engine cleaner and brake cleaner) I made sure that I cleaned it very well and presto....the squeaky noise went away and hasn't come back again! It was probably the dust that was making all the noise and just needed to be cleaned. Do the same to yours and let me know what happened.

I wish I had the solution for the fronts, lol. When I changed the pads, I greased every possible thing and cleaned everything. The noise has started once more, ugh, lol.

Make sure there's no contact between the caliper the the outer surface of the rotor. Sometimes it can rub on the pads and cause it to squeak. Last thing I probably do is to resurface the rotor and see what happens again. Good luck!

I need a new RF caliper anyways, so I will probably go with pads that cost more than $18 (glad I didn't get expensive ones in light of having a bad caliper) and resurface the rotors.

Ill try that. I have to get things done before winter so Ill have my brakes checked too. Nothings worse in the winter than driving with bad tires and bad brakes. P.S. I only know about the bad tires part.

The rear brake noise can be caused by brake dust, front brake squeak can come from the pad vibrating(harmonic vibration) and the metal backing rubbing on the caliper, this is why some pad sets come with plastic(non-metallic) shims. You can also use the spray for the back of pads to prevent them from moving/rubbing on caliper.
