its kinda hard to explain but every time i step on the gas i get like a wistleing one of my friends said it sounds like a ****y turbo... i herd it more since i put a cold air in... let me know if u know what it is i think its pretty common wit neons

 

mine does the same...when im driving it does it cause its the air filter...if its not that then you might have a very small vaccum leak but if you like it then no worres

 

Most likely the intake. Mine does that on the Roush and I've been asked if I have a S/C...

You don't have to imagine, someone is making their own s/c setup already... its not done yet though..

 

The Cobalt 2.0 had an S/C. There were a few Ford Escorts that had a S/C, though I'm not sure of the engine size on those.
