NOT STARTING
IV'E BEEN HAVING A PROBLEM FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS, MY RT WONT START 1/2 OF THE TIME. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ENGINE IS HOT, A FEW TIMES WHEN IT HAS BEEN COLD, THERE WASN'T REALLY ANY WATER LEFT IN THE BATTERY, SO I PUT A LITTLE MORE IN, WHEN I GO TO START IT, THE STARTER ENGAGES TO THE FLYWHEEL AND TURNS THE ENGINE, THE PLUGS ARE ONLY HAVE NOT EVEN 1K ON THEM, SO I DONT THINK IT'S THAT. ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL HELP. ALSO WHERE ID THE EGR VALVE ON THE CAR?? CAUSE I WENT ON ANOTHER SITE, AND IT SAID THAT IT MIGHT BE THAT, BUT NOT REALLY SURE.
THANKS.
THANKS.
water in battery was low, due to weather changes, batteries do that sometimes, thats why its good to check it. engine ran dianostic or some weird dealy thing, but code "p1289" came up which means "An open or shorted condition detected in the manifold tuning valve solenoid control circuit." So what part off hand would this be, ignition module maybe? Manifold Tune Valve Solenoid Circuit what is this?
Water is in every battery. the water conflicts with the acid that causes it to charge inside or whatever, and during big weather changes you will loose water level it your battery. ect... thats all i know about that, cause if you have low water in it then it'll be worthless eventullt. The car turns over like its wanting to start, but it has no spark, went to check it earlier, and on the odometer it was blank, it didnt read the miles, then it when into like a diagnos stage or something, never seen before, then it read the a code out to me which said p1289, went online and check and it said "Manifold Tune Valve Solenoid Circuit" now what i was wondering was what part is this if it even one? i has nothing to do with the battery i know that for sure, cause there is no spark when trying to turn on. so it has to do with whatever with this "Manifold Tune Valve Solenoid Circuit" deal

took the car into the dodge dealer today to get fixed, they said it might be the ignition coil, but they said if its the "PCM" or something like that it would be around $1,500. but I think that its just something simple hopfuly, i will keep you'll posted when i get news in the morning.
