This has been happening quite a few times over the past few weeks.

This happens at random times too, usually when i've been out driving for about 10 minutes, out again... and the 3rd time it occurs again.

The problem is... when i start the engine, the engine moves and the revs go down, basically the whole car shakes. If my lights are on, they dim down too.

It sounds like there's air in the fuel line.

But this worries me when i start the engine... put it into reverse and it sounds like its going to cut out. (its a auto transmission too)

sometimes this does it when i come to a 4-way stop, and pull away, the engine shakes again and sometimes the malfunction light comes on.

Can anyone help me?

 

Have you tried to pull the trouble codes? If your check engine light is registering you should be able to pull them.

That might give us a better idea of what is happening to cause your problem.
